Description
Meet Ruby – Your New Best Friend! 🐾
Ruby is a joyful, affectionate, and playful young pup who’s ready to find her forever home! With her dainty build and adorable long “Bambi” legs, she’s as charming as they come. Weighing in at 8.9kg, Ruby may be small, but her personality is big and beautiful.
This little lovebug absolutely adores people. She thrives on attention, loves to play, and is already showing just how clever she is. Ruby is nearly fully house-trained, sleeps soundly through the night in the kitchen, and has been confidently left alone for short periods with no stress.
Ruby is wonderful with other dogs. She’s gentle and submissive with our resident pup (also a FAR alum!), enjoys playful visits with a friend’s puppy, and greets other dogs politely on walks. While she enjoys doggy company, Ruby could also thrive as an only dog — as long as she gets plenty of cuddles and affection from her humans!
She’s loving her daily walks, enjoys a good game of fetch, and has even done some off-lead exploring. At home, she’s a gentle soul who loves to curl up beside you and soak up all the love.
Ruby is still growing into her lovely long legs. She’s been on daily calcium supplements (recommended for the first year) and is already showing great improvement with regular exercise and a nutritious diet. Her back legs are getting stronger every day and looking just as they should.
She still has a few sharp puppy teeth left, but those will be gone soon — along with her puppyhood! Ruby will make a wonderful, loving addition to any family.
Could you be the one to give this gorgeous girl the home she deserves? 💛
Her Story
On June 1st, International Children’s Day, our rescuer spotted Lorena alone in the fields by a busy road. She was desperately chasing every passing car, as if begging for help.
When approached, she cried softly, jumped with joy, and then ran ahead, constantly looking back to ensure she was being followed. She led our rescuer straight to a heartbreaking sight—her tiny baby, Ruby, lying weak in the grass, too exhausted to move. 😔
Both were rushed to the vet, and thanks to the incredible care of the veterinary team—and the devotion of her amazing mum, Lorena—puppy Ruby survived.
