Description

Looking for a new, forever home is my Border Collie pup, Ellie. Ellie is a very lovable girl, she's full of energy and loves to play. She's coming on well with "sit" training and is doing very well with house training, although as with any puppy, she can forget herself and have an accident. We find if she's being let out every hour our so, that usually works well. We bought Ellie from a farm just over 2 weeks ago. I had initially bought her with a plan to take her hiking when she's older etc. However as time is going on, it's becoming quite difficult to juggle working, having a baby and my personal life commitments all whilst trying to care for and train a high energy pup. She's a typical Border Collie and is full of beans and we're struggling with her knocking our toddler over regularly and causing him upset, this is not at all done in malice, she's just a typical playful, on the go pup - she would definitely do well with older kids as she loves kids but toddlers are just a bit small for her accidentally knocking them about. I feel bad about having to rehome her but I do feel it's better to do it now whilst she's young, rather than to 'wait it out' with the potential that it still ends up in the same result. She likes other dogs, she's okay with cats although can forget herself and chase sometimes, this is causing a problem with our cats as they don't want to come near whilst she's around incase they are chased. It's not aggression at all though. She loves kids as said, just better suited in a toddler free home. She wasn't vaccinated when we got her, I took her for her first vaccine the day after I bought her and she's due her second on the 28th October in Barnsley. This has been paid for. This is also causing a problem as she can't go out to walk and our back yard isn't the biggest so she is having trouble releasing energy. I also got her a vet prescribed flea treatment and a wormer so she's up to date with those. She's also microchipped. She would be best suited to someone that is active and will walk her regularly as she gets older etc. I think she would thrive from regular exercise. I am happy to bring her to her new home and would prefer this so that I can see where she's going. I'm asking £500 for her to cover some of the costs that I've paid for her and what I've paid at the vets etc. She will come with her vet book and any food she has left over before going to her new home. If you're interested and think you could be the right owner for Ellie then please either text my number or email, please no calls as I'm busy with work a lot of the time so may be with clients.
