Bentley is an absolute stunner of a dog who’s on the lookout for his forever home. He’s happiest when out on long walks, showing off his good looks, and soaking up compliments about how handsome he is. Like any typical Labrador, Bentley is a friendly and loyal companion who would fit right in with most families.
Bentley’s journey hasn’t been the smoothest. Originally rescued from Macedonia, he spent a year living in the UK before sadly being returned to us, through no real fault of his own. When he first left our care, he was a lean 25kg, but when he came back, we were shocked to find he’d reached 35kg! A few too many treats and not enough exercise had left him on the chunky side. But Bentley has been working hard he’s already lost 4.5kg, even winning Slimmer of the Week, and he’s continuing to thrive on a healthier lifestyle with regular walks and a proper diet.
This boy is a joy to be around. He greets us happily every morning, poses beautifully for photos, and loves a good fuss. He’s clever, eager to please, and an absolute dream to train. Bentley walks nicely to heel and is relaxed around other dogs when out and about. Given his size, he can be strong, so we’ll make sure his new family has all the guidance they need to maintain his good behaviour.
He’s crate trained, house-trained, affectionate, and brimming with love to give. He is a gentle nature so we think children over 8 years, simply because he is still a decent size at the end of the day. Bentley prefers his space when it comes to other dogs, we would prefer that he be rehomed as the only dog. On walks he is neutral but can be selective of dogs that get in his space.
We’ve completely fallen for Bentley all over again, but what he really needs is a forever family to love him as much as we do. Bentley is able to be met before adoption at our kennels in Nottinghamshire for a suitable application.
