Description

Poppy is looking for a new home. This is a very very sad decision for my family and is through no fault of poppy's. Poppy is an extremely very energetic dog and unfortunately we are now unable to fully give her the exercise and attention she needs. Poppy has started agility training and is showing very good promise. Poppy is extremely friendly type dog, she wants to be with you all the time, and next to you wherever you are, she’s quite submissive type and will want hugs and attention all the time. Poppy likes balls, and playing with her toys and zoomies around the garden. Poppy is up to date on vaccinations but not yet spayed we are still waiting for her to come into season, my vet will not spay until they have had a season. Microchipped. Poppy gets on with my cat absolutely fine and they play together, however I do not know what she will be like with cats she does not know, have I have seen her chase other cats out of the garden. Poppy has been socialised with other dogs, and loves to play, she’s can be quite boisterous as she is only young, she can become dogs reactive and very submission if the other dog is barking or showing signs of aggression, she just gets scared as she was chased by a reactive dog when she was a puppy. Mains reason for moving on is because of my autistic son. Poppy is so so friendly and is great with my son. They can play fetch for hours and she absolutely loves playing on the trampoline with him however I am struggling with having such a high energy child and dog it’s literally Choas, My boy just doesn’t leave her alone and she always puts up with everything however he can give mixed messages to what I’m trying to train her and sometimes he can be rough with her. I literally have to watch them all the time and it’s becoming to difficult to handle as I don’t want to be cheating her all the time. Poppy is very excitable when you have visitors, currently learning to go onto her bed when they come or she will just wag her tail and jump up wanting hugs and fuss, again this is a problem I have as my son encourages it. She honestly is the most friendly, lovable dog, with not a bad bone in her body. But needs a loving home where they can give her more time and exercise. An active him here is extremely important. Poppy has been around horses, chickens and goats around the yard. Although I would not yet trust her off a lead near horses or goats as I think she would try and chase them. She however has been off the lead around chickens and isn’t aggressive just tries to herd them. Poppy has mostly been excerised in the lead, however is good off the lead at agility training and comes back to re call. I do not know how Poppy will be off the lead with other dogs, as I have not yet put her in this situation. Videos are available and more information if required just message me. Thank you
