This lovely young dog is looking for the loving, permanent home she deserves. She's approximately 9 months old with a gentle, playful, affectionate nature and a wonderful temperament all round.
She’s had a tough start to life as she was found with her siblings in an abandoned building in Romania. She was taken in by her rescuers and built up, socialised and give all the care she needed. She has made incredible progress since being in the UK where she's been living in a foster home for the past few months, learning all about home life and has been thriving in the process. She can still be a little unsure and anxious with quick movements or if there is something she is unsure about but is easily reassured. This is primarily due to having little human contact in her early years but she is increasingly confident and responding well to guidance.
She’s:
• Mostly house-trained and well-behaved in the home
• Very responsive and eager to learn
• Great off-lead with good recall
• Well-socialised and playful with other dogs
• Cat-friendly and has been living with two cats
• Good around livestock (including sheep) but further training/reinforcement necessary
• Good with older children
Because of her background, we’re ideally looking for a home with some experience and a commitment to continuing her training and guiding her to live in a human world, while meeting her needs. She’s very sweet, intelligent and is eager to please/learn and will make a lovely member of the family. She loves treats, which really helps with her training and she is very responsive to direction and has the making of a lovely, well-rounded family member/companion.
It would be ideal for her to live with another well-adjusted dog as she enjoys playing so much. A secure garden is also necessary. She stays close to her foster family, even off lead. Building a trusting bond and setting firm boundaries will be important.
She does still need to be spayed in due course and this will be part of the adoption agreement and the fee is slightly reduced. The rescue charity will provide backup support if needed after adoption.
