🐾 Meet Efa 🐾
Introducing Efa (or Aoife if you are Irish!), beautiful and radiant like her name! Sweet, cuddle bug Efa came to us 3 weeks ago and has since gained confidence in various areas with the help of our resident dog. She is no longer afraid of walking beside busy roads and although shy when meeting new people, it doesn’t take long for her to approach them and ask for pats. She has been good when meeting young children, staying still while they give her cuddles! Efa loves her walks! She walks with her nose on the ground half the time, ideal for someone who likes a leisurely walk. When it comes to off leash time, she loves a good zoomies and rough and tumble with her doggie friend. She is still a bit anxious when seeing other dogs coming towards her but with a bit of encouragement, she will walk on and sometimes try a quick sneaky sniff if possible. She is good with her recall but she never really wanders too far anyway. We have also been able to leave her alone with our resident dogs for a few hours with no issues. Due to her instinct to guard her people, she does bark at unknown noises and when people come to the door. With visitors, she does settle down once she gets to meet them and have a sniff. We are working on four paws on the floor as she can get very excited when family members return home or when her food is being prepared. She is getting better at it everyday and in time, we are sure she will be able to resist the urge to jump up. Efa will make a wonderful dog for someone who wants a loyal, cuddly friend, a friend who wants nothing more than to rest her head on your leg while she snores away at the end of the day!
