Unfortunately we are having to re-home our dog Kong. Due to ongoing things at home it isn't currently suitable for either myself or ex partner to look after Kong.
I work full time so won't have the time to spend with Kong so its only fair he goes to a home that can give him the time and care.
We have had him since he was a puppy and he has always been great with us. We took him to puppy school and also had private trainers when he was younger, this means he is well trained and knows basic commands really well.
Overall Kong is a very relaxed dog and loves to relax in the garden or any sunlight he can find. He also loves a good walk. He is always walked on the lead as we could never solidify his recall, so to be safe we have always just walked him on the lead.
He can be very excitable when meeting new people and other dogs. Can jump up when he gets really excited but he does also listen, so if you tell him 'no' or 'down' he does listen to you.
We had one small incident with Kong and my son while on holiday at a caravan, where Kong mouthed on his hand. There were no marks left and this was completely out of character from Kong, but as it was a very hot day and a new location we put this down to stress. We have had no incidents before or after this.
Kong is a great and loveable dog. We would recommend he has a home where he isn't left all the time, as one of us currently works from home he is used to someone being around most the time. He is fine being left, but it would be nice to know he has someone spending time with him.
We would also suggest someone who is used to having larger dogs, we also think it would be best if he went to a dog and child free home so he is most comfortable.
