💔 Unfortunately, we’re having to find a new home for our beautiful dachshund, Darla, and this is a decision we haven’t made lightly. 🐾 Darla 🎂 DOB: 29th December 2024 🐶 Midi Dachshund Darla is such a lovely, affectionate little girl. She absolutely loves cuddles, attention and being snuggled up under lots of blankets. She really is a gorgeous dog with a lovely temperament. ❤️ She is good with children and other dogs and has grown up around an XL Bully and a Staffy, so she is used to being around bigger dogs. She does pull on the lead, but this is mainly because she gets so excited when she’s out. She’s still young and would benefit from someone who can continue working with her on her lead training. Darla does have a small cherry eye, which has been checked by the vet. We were advised not to operate at this stage as it comes and goes, is very small and doesn’t cause her any issues or discomfort. At the moment, my parents are kindly looking after her while we try to find the right home. Unfortunately, we’re no longer able to have more than one dog in our home, which has left us with the heartbreaking decision to rehome Darla. This is absolutely not because of anything she has done — she is a wonderful little dog and we just want to find her a loving home where she can be happy and get all the love and attention she deserves. 🥺❤️ We are looking for the right forever home for her and will be asking questions to make sure she goes to someone who is genuinely able to commit to her. They are prone to putting on too much weight if not given enough daily exercise

The breed is known to suffer from quite a few health concerns so vet bills can be high and why pet insurance is so important for anyone owning a Dachshund
