Rehoming our wonderful Patterdale Terrier who I have had since an 8-week pup. Molly is very smart, healthy and energetic. Well trained in most areas, with excellent recall. I am sad to be rehoming her but I’ve concluded I can't give her the time she needs (increasing work commitments, baby on the way) and I know she will be a great dog wherever she goes next, regularly forming close bonds with new dog sitters when we are away.
Molly is very affectionate and loyal. She is excellent on walks, comfortable on and off lead. She quickly forms a bond with new people and is a big personality that (most!) fall in love with. She loves nothing more than spending the evening asleep on your lap.
Like most terriers she can be very energetic and can become quite attached to her ‘owner’, so needs plenty of exercise and stimulation to manage any anxiety. She is fine with other dogs if walking, but can find it more difficult to settle with them. Very chilled at home and happy being left for extended periods.
Molly hasn’t grown up around children, so while I am sure she would be able to adapt, homes with very young children are probably best avoided. Similarly, she has not lived with cats but on occasion has spent time at my mum’s and ‘tolerated’ the cat!
Crate trained, fully vaccinated, and I am very happy to answer any questions or queries.
