Description
Stellaās story is one that truly touches the heart. She ended up in the public shelter/kill station together with her last surviving pup. It is likely that she had already lost others before being captured. She held on desperately to that final little one - her only comfort in such a harsh, cold place.
Our rescuer noticed her and arranged her rescue. But tragically, the day before Stella was due to leave, her puppy passed away. She was left bewildered and broken, not understanding why everything was taken from her.
In her memory, she was named Stella, ālittle starā ā for the star her pup has now become, and for the hope that Stella herself will one day shine again. āØ

Date of Birth: estimated April 2023 (young adult)
š Height: approx. 50ā55 cm (can be measured on request)
š· Type: based on appearance, possibly a mix with Griffon VendĆ©en and Border Collie, giving her a striking rough-coated look, combined with intelligence and elegance.
Looks & charm
Stella is a stunning girl with her rufty-tufty, wire-haired coat and soulful eyes. She has a graceful, medium-sized build ā large enough to join you on adventures, yet compact enough to be a perfect family companion. She radiates both beauty and fragility, a dog who has suffered much but still carries quiet dignity.
Character
Behind her striking appearance lies a tender, sensitive soul. Stella is still a little timid ā understandable after all she has endured ā but she is gentle and kind by nature. She gets along well with other dogs and draws comfort from companionship, both canine and human.
She will need patient adopters who can give her the time and space to find her confidence. With love, kindness, and gentle guidance, she will blossom into a loyal, affectionate companion.
Ideal home
For Stella, we are looking for adopters who truly understand sensitive dogs:
A secure, dog-proof garden (min. 1.80 m fencing) is essential, so she can explore safely without needing to be walked on a lead straight away.
People with experience and the patience to let her progress at her own pace.
A home where she is not left alone for long hours ā Stella will need the warmth of people around her, or perhaps a kind, stable doggy companion as support.
A family that values every small step forward, celebrating her journey without pressure or expectations.
Friends InDeed is a registered Charity.
Home-Check (even done online, at times) is compulsory.
We do NOT supply dogs to non-genuine Dog-Loving people. There are all kind out there... canāt be too careful !
You must have your own garden and no children under 10 to adopt a dog from our Rescue.
We do not supply work, assistance or service dogs, regardless of what noble/moral it would be ! The dog(s) you adopt from our organisation will reside as a PET in your Home and will be well looked-after and loved !
Should you adopt a rescue dog from us - you will also agree to keep in touch with us - so we can help with any issues.
Our preferred method of contact is over the phone or WhatsApp - as we work during the day, with limited access to emails ; it is also more expedient - we can exchange most information in one go.
We are a 100% genuine and transparent Rescue and are doing substantial efforts to save these lives. We reserve the right to ask any / different price / donation for our rescue dogs or cats - depending on circumstances. In most cases, we are not covering the costs !
We keep in touch with all adopters (more than 500 families, so far). On request, we can obtain & provide good references from any of them.
We receive a high number of pointless messages and calls and we do not afford wasting timeā¦
So, Please, Please - NO TIMEWASTERS !
Thank You !
