Description
Unfortunately, I've decided to re-home my bearded dragon Mushu. As it stands, I am unable to give him the life he deserves, being in college, him living in a separate household to me,and a recent cancer diagnosis of which i am currently undergoing treatment. Looking back I wish my parents hadn't allowed me to get a pet that was such a large responsibility and cost. He's roughly 3-4 years old, although I don't know his exact age, however I am certain that he is male, as he's never had a clutch of eggs. I am wanting him to be sold with his entire enclosure, as well as all the extras I have for him, as they're all relatively new and would hate for them to go to waste. He's currently in a bioactive set up (all aspects bought within the last few months), and so if you are wanting the leca, mesh, root carpet and sand/soil mix, they can be provided in boxes for transport. The substrate is also already rich with cleanup crew. He also has a complete sand bath set up, as well as two large wooden perches, small branches, lava rocks, basking rock and decorative rocks. (Pictures can be provided next time I'm home) He has a heat bulb and strip light set up, and I have a spare bulb, alongside a poop scoop, spare bowl, brush for the vivarium and an almost full bottle of cleaning spray, and calcium dust. His setup in it's entirety has cost well over £500 on its own, and so while my biggest priority is to make sure he goes to a good home, it is essential that the buyer is aware of the cost of his setup before deciding whether or not they want the bio-active setup. Vivarium lights and heat bulb are already set up to a switch plug, as well as a temperature box and key to change the temp. I also have an electronic thermostat set up going through a back vent, to ensure the temperature remains accurate. His strip light is slightly broken at the moment, I'm sure nothing some tape or glue wouldn't fix, but it hasn't bothered him or posed any risk so we've left it so far. Only the plastic bracket holding it up is damaged so the light hangs at a slight angle, I'm sure an easy fix! He is not the biggest fan of being handled, but does not bite, and once out of his vivarium is happy to roam about an enclosed space. He has got a kink in his tail, we're not sure when he got this, as we just realised it was there one day, so not sure if he injured himself or was born with it. It does not seem to cause him any bother or pain however so we've just left him too it. While we have struggled to find vegetables he likes, we can say with confidence that he loves blueberries, coriander, parsley, kale and will occasionally try other fruits and veg you offer him. He also loves waxworms and morioworms as a treat, but by far his favourite is hoppers with calcium dust. He's shown no interest in crickets, or other non jumping bugs. Ontop of my head that's everything I can think of. If you have any further questions please do not be afraid to ask. I am however absolutely firm on him going to an experienced owner who has/had owned bearded dragons, and will require proof of that in advance. If you wish to take the aspects of his enclosure (mesh, soil, sand bath, etc) then I'll need £20, in addition to the £150, sent before collection so I can get containers to deconstruct for you. You can keep the containers afterwards 😂 Cash is preferred on collection, but the deposit for boxes should be sent through banking app such as paypal so they can be ready for collection. Feel free to message, but please don't call, as I'll probably be in college!
