Hi, this i jellybean (jell's for short) and she is in need of a forever loving home.
Home and background checks do apply and will be carried out by my associate who works with rescues.
I ****************** to your location if needed but you must be 100% committed due to travel costs ect.
A home without other dogs or children is necessary
BREED - cane corso (italian mastiff)
GENDER - female
AGE - 27 months
NAME - jellybean
HEALTH ISSUES - no health issues
LOCATION - i am based on the isle of wight
Jell’s is fed 2/3 times a day each dinner is kibble with chopped up chicken, carrots and sometimes broccoli, occasionally she gets apple and bananas throughout the day aswell.
Good on lead?
she is ok on the leash however she will lay/sit on the ground when a car or person goes past, she knows her way home so she will tend to try and run home when she gets abit scared. But overall she is good on the lead, she will walk beside me or sometimes run ahead but she knows when to stop. However she will need some training.
Recall?
when she’s at home she will sometimes come to you when you call her, she loves her treats so she will automatically come and sit right infront of you when you have treats or if you rustle any form of food packet, when she is outside walking she will run a certain distance and stop and wait for me to catch up however as I stated before she will try and run home if she gets too scared.
Any aggression other than what we are aware of
Good with other dogs ..cats children?
im not sure how jellybean is around other dogs or children as she hasn’t had much socialisation, she has seen dogs and other people on the other side of the road multiple times and has just watched them and then she carry’s on walking, however she hasn’t really had much interaction with either children/other animals outside the house or other people, however stated before she is scared of everything and she has just stood there when someone walked past us. she has never shown me or my family members any aggression, when she gets excited she will nibble/hold you hand in her mouth (this doesn’t hurt) its just her way of showing love.
Likes ..dislikes?
she does love to to play alot especially with the other dogs in the house, she loves the attention, she will come and sit on your lap or being you her favourite toys which are a football and a rubber pig, she loves to sleep beside me at night, at the moment she does love going out on walks however she does get frightened alot so she sometimes love’s it but sometimes doesn’t, the only thing i would say that she dislikes is she doesn’t like her back and tail being touched, she ripped up one her toys a while back and ate the stuffing from it and it thankfully passed through her however i had to gently pull some out and she got frightened so she will skirz out when you try touching her tail.
i think that the most suitable home for jel’s in my opinion will be a home without other pets or children as she hasn’t had much socialisation i think she will need to be given time to settle in as she does get very shy and nervous, i think that she will need home where someone is home alot more often until she settles in and is ok with her surroundings and to be left alone, someone who has alot of patience and the time on their hands for her. And just an overall genuine loving home.
