She enjoys movement, exploration and being involved, but she also knows how to settle and behave beautifully indoors.

🐶 Barbie once had a home and a family. When her people were forced by war to leave their country, they tried to take her with them — but were not allowed to travel abroad with their dog. Faced with an impossible choice, they had to leave Barbie behind.
For a dog who had known warmth, routine and belonging, the sudden loss was confusing and painful. Yet Barbie didn’t shut down. Instead, she continued to seek human contact, trusting and hopeful, as if believing that love would return to her life again. Her story is one shared by so many dogs displaced by war — loved, but left behind through no fault of their own.

🐶 Barbie currently lives in a foster home in a village and has adapted beautifully. She is housetrained, respectful indoors and understands home routines well. She doesn’t destroy or cause trouble; she simply wants to be near her person, following them gently from room to room.
🐶 Barbie is affectionate with everyone she meets, asking for strokes and leaning in for cuddles. Barbie enjoys long walks, open spaces and time to run, and she explores the world with curiosity and confidence. With other dogs she is playful and friendly, and she communicates well. She is active but listens, making her a joy to walk and live with. There’s something wonderfully loyal about her — she likes to keep her human in sight, checking in often, making sure she hasn’t been left behind again.

🐶 Barbie will thrive in a home with decent garden that enjoys an active lifestyle and values companionship. She would love adopters who enjoy long walks, outdoor time and including their dog in daily life. A home with a secure garden or access to open spaces would suit her well, as she loves to move and explore.
🐶 Barbi can live happily with another friendly dog or as an only dog, as long as she receives enough interaction and exercise. She is suitable for families with children aged 8+, who understand that she may jump a little when excited.
