I work in a veterinary practice and whilst working here I have seen some lovely things but also awful. This case really affected me as I have a gorgeous lurcher of my own so I just had to get involved and help rescue him. He’s roughly 8 months old, toilet trained, loves other dogs it is a must have that you have other dogs because he finds real comfort in having another dog around! Flea and wormed and vaccinated, he isn’t castrated as due to having 3 legs he needs all the testosterone possible to help him have strong bones!! But I would like to find him a home that will have this procedure done as a must when the time is right. Due to me working in a veterinary practice we have staff kennels and I bring my current lurcher to work with me, he has very bad anxiety issues around being in a kennel/ crate. Due to his past. He was hit by a car and bought into my work to be put to sleep he then has had his leg amputated and everything’s been a lot for him so I completely understand this but this does not suit my lifestyle and I can’t be selfish I have to put what he needs first 😢 I do not want any
Money for him, he comes with expensive coats that I have had custom made for him all toys, food, bowls, beds ect. I just want him to have the best life ever. If it is the right home I will drive to drop him off, ideally I would like him to be in a family with children/ other dogs/ on a farm. I have horses and he’s great with the horses. Just so heartbroken that it isn’t working for him with me!
