Description
Bernie is a good boy who needs a good home.
He has had a turbulent start to life, having been Rehomed 3 times, this is due to no fault of his own and is simply bad luck. He is a high energy dog who needs to be with a dog lover, ideally in a rural area, who will take him out for lots of walks everyday.
We hoped we could be his forever home but unfortunately we cannot keep up with his needs due to work demands. Our cat has also not taken to him, and they have a tendency to fight over their food, which is causing us a lot of worry, so far neither has been injured.
Bernie loves to play fetch, and loves to play, he is very energetic and requires a good amount of exercise daily, to a minimum of 60 minutes of activity. Ideally upwards to 2 hours most days.
He is a little bit of a nervous soul, and is a bit reactive to other dogs when on the lead, however will play with other dogs in a safe environment happily.
Please note we are rehoming Bernie, not selling him, as such we would like to meet the prospective owner, and would like for them to properly meet Bernie before making a decision.
He is up for £250, this is just to make sure Bernie is safe and goes to a good home, this money will be donated to dogs trust.
Bernie will come with all his belongings which include his bed, food, toys and a crate, however he is not crate trained.
Bernie is a very sweet boy full of love and energy, he would benefit from a home with some outdoor space and owners who either work from home or who can pop home throughout the day. He is happy to be left alone for up to 6 hours if needed however this would ideally not be regular as he loves company and entertainment.
Due to being high energy he can be a little boisterous around children, as he doesn't know his own size. We are not sure how he is around cats, he does not get on with our cat but that is more than cats fault than his.
We are adamant that Bernie deserves a good home with owners that can give him the love he deserves. As such we will only be letting him go to people we are confident in. Ideally this would be an experienced dog owner who is either retired or works from home. Please do not be offended if we say no to you.
