Our daughter was desperate for Guinea Pigs for her birthday at the beginning of October, and she chose these two stunning beauties from Pets 4 Homes. They are cuddly, love being held, affectionate, sociable and have fun characters, zipping around their hutch and trying to use her hair as straw and bury themselves in it when she holds them! They went through all the health checks at Pets 4 Homes and are really lovely pets. However, our cat is constantly bothering them. He stalks around the cage all day, putting his paw in, and we know they worry every time we get them out to hold, as he's sniffing around and wanting to paw them. We're worried he's going to hurt them and we can't seem to keep him away from them. We have decided it's no fair on them to keep them, as they would run about much more freely and not huddle together so much, if he wasn't around them. They are really beautiful and would make a wonderful pet for anyone who wants a pet to cuddle and care for, whilst being very low maintenance. They just need a handful of food each day and cleaning out once per week. We bought the hutch for £60 second hand, and the guinea pigs were £35 each. We are selling them for £100, to include everything you have to set you up: the 2 water bottles, ceramic feeding bowl, food, extra sawdust, hay and cosy pet sleeping bag. Can go indoors or outdoors. We don't have a rain cover for the hutch, but use a large picnic blanket upside down which keeps it and them dry / warm at night. Very welcome to come and hold them, see them or play before purchasing. I am also able to transport them and the hutch in my van.
