Description

‘Circe’ pronounced ‘Cur-see’ is Greek for magic & she certainly needs some of that. ‘Circe’ in Greek mythology was renowned for her magical abilities & turning people into animals- She’s the daughter of ‘Sarah’ the one eyed dog who was beaten badly and lost an eye while her puppies cowered- Sarah was protecting them. Circe is the only pup remaining - as we don’t know the fate of the others after they all ended up in a a government shelter where they were still not safe (ask for more information). Sarah was adopted and is doing well in the U.K. Circe however is not doing so good-she’s very sad & her magical personality isn’t working for her as she hasn’t got a home. The vet remarks:- ‘Looking for a home..., female dog under 1 year old .., social and good.... She is even low in the hierarchy in the cage and is bullied by the other dogs This is the last baby dog from the mother with one eye....who traveled to the UK some time ago.....’ Poor Circe is such a gentle creature that she won’t react to a worm & that’s why she can get bullied. Remember the child at school that everyone picked on? The other children weren’t bad they just saw weakness and took advantage. Sarah lost her eye so that Circe and her babies could survive - the last litter before she was neutered - and it is tragic to think she did that for nothing. Once a mother always a mother and this would be the only pup Sarah has ever nurtured to make it to the U.K. & to be truly loved like her mum. Sarah may not be with her now but it’s the end every devoted parent wants. We owe it to dogs like Sarah to make it happen because she sacrificed her sight for them. As part of the ‘black beyond beautiful’ mission which I’m relaunching once more to help black dogs, we are putting £100 towards ‘Circe’s’ transport so you have only a minimum to pay for her to come to your door. We will be doing a fund raiser to get vital funds for the black dogs who because of cultural stigmas end up even more violated than their counterparts.
