Description

This is Bee. She is our gorgeous and lovely family puppy of two weeks who has taken so so well to our family and we couldn't be more impressed with her. Reason for rehoming: Heart-wrenchingly and unexpectedly, my four year old daughter has suffered a dog attack at a local country park (on Boxing Day) and our family has regrettingly chosen to re-home Bee in order to give our little girl time to recover from the hugely psychological trauma of a careless dog owners actions, and time to make her own choices particularly about whether we have a dog in our house. Please note, the dog attack had nothing to do with Bee herself and she was being looked after by family at the time so was not involved by any means. I am happy to talk about this with anyone concerned. About Bee: Bee is a female Lurcher: Whippet x Deerhound puppy. She takes after the slender body shape of her mum, and the rough-hair and wide-snout of her dad. We bought her from a breeder who owns both the mum, dad, and a puppy from a previous litter only two weeks ago when she turned 8 weeks old. She was weaned appropriately from her mother and we have nurtured her for the last two weeks to become our family pet. She is now roughly 10 weeks (DOB 21/10/2025). We have two blankets that still have her parents scent to them, and we will pass her puppy bed, dog bowls, a few toys, a small amount of food, and an extra blanket on to her new owner. About Bee's training: Bee is halfway there to being full house-trained. She knows to go to the door to do her business and is now very rarely having accidents other than next to the door when consistently and regularly reminded to go out. She is well on her way to being crate trained, happy to be on her own at night in her crate so long as the door is open so that she can go out for a puppy pad wee (at her age it is not expected that she could hold it all night, but this will come). She goes to bed at 8:30-9pm for the night and will stay quiet til gone 6:30/7am each morning. She is also responsive to her name and progressing well with her recall, she's responsive to training with treats and we have been using 'OFF!' as a command when she's being too bouncy with our children. She's quickly learning what's ok and what's not when playing with them, she has been well socialised so far around car travel, handling (by children before we took her, and by our own) and she's been happy and curious to potter around both our house and garden, and my In-Laws property also. She's also experienced a shopping trip (in arms). I believe she will make an amazing and incredibly loving pet for another family. Details for rehoming: As we have her scheduled for microchipping and her first vaccinations on 2nd Jan, she will be ready for Sale from the 3rd and the new owner will be responsible for completing her course of puppy vaccs (Vet appointment due on 30th January unless she is still with us by this date). Happy to answer any further questions. Please note her price is fixed due to what we paid for her and the efforts we have so far put into giving her the BEST start as a family pet. We will be really sad to say goodbye to her.
