… LAST ONE AVAILABLE… STUNNING Bedlington Whippet x Italian Greyhound Isabella Blue Boy, Silver in some lights, Gold in others, fabulous lead candy! (*’Isabella’ Blue is a term for a dachshund colour, mutated gene but this Isabella colour is the red brindle coat over a blue base, rare in Lurchers, not causing skin issues. ) AVAILABLE again due to unforeseen change in circumstances of prospective new owner abroad, who have never met him but chose him from a photo. He was going to France, hence has had rabies jag and was waiting with us, for the French regulations to allow him in at 16 weeks. (3rd September 2026…ideally would like to find him a lovely home before then or he will have to come to France with me.) Terribly unfair on him to be advertised late but he has matured and learned the stuff he needs to learn in the meantime, so at least it has not been wasted time. He is really sweet and cuddly. He is now crate trained, well on the way with toilet training, comes to ‘Fergus come’, (which could be shortened to ‘come’ if one wanted to change his name), well socialised living with his mum and 2 x sisters… (also waiting to go to France). Feedback has been great from those owners who got their pups at 8/9 weeks, so I am confident it was a successful pairing, especially from the temperament point of view. I have had 23 years of breeding 5 generations of pure Bedlington x Whippet Bitches, sired by pedigree Whippets or Bedlington Dogs alternately to keep the Beddywhippet line pure. Now crossed with an Italian Greyhound (Iggy) to make smaller lurchers for pets and easier lifting for old humans and to make less fragile. Mother is super calm and kind, great temperament, father bright and obedient with good bone. Puppies well socialised lived in house with usual household noises etc no smoking household, played with visiting children. Let loose in the garden to play with varying toys. Such was the unusual pairing, I had 5 booked at conception, including ‘Fergus’, hence he has not been seen, so hasn’t had a chance to wow anyone. Litter of 8 mixed blues and backs, smooth and hairy. Ready to go 8th July, chipped, vaccinated and (with rabies for one’s going to France) wormed and health checked. Home more important than price, so sensible offers considered.
