Description

About Rocket: 4.5-year-old tricolour male Beagle, neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped. Relocated from India 2 years ago with family. Well-socialized, house-trained, and crate-trained. Personality: • Friendly and loves meeting new people • Great with children (lived with 5-year-old) • Initially barks at visitors but quickly warms up • Playful and expects play sessions twice daily • Enjoys car rides and long walks Training & Behavior: • House-trained since puppy • Crate-trained (sleeps in crate at night) • Can chew or destroy things like slippers/plastic when bored. Keeping him busy with puzzle toys or playing with him, with good routine is important • Pulls on lead when distracted • Can be let off-lead in secure areas • Sometimes reluctant to give back stolen items • While he enjoys tug, and he grabs clothes/towels for attention seeking and tries to convert them as tugs with intention to play. With Other Animals: • Friendly with most dogs. Also he is afraid of big dogs like German Sheppard due to a past encounter, so he barks defensively when he sees one • Doesn't like unfamiliar dogs jumping on him • May chase cats (never lived with them) • Untested living with other pets long-term Care Needs: • Fed Royal Canin twice daily (7:30 AM/PM). Also some times, we mix with chicken, eggs, and even boiled veggies. • We never trained to be left alone as we always worked from home since beginning. • He still acts like puppy with full of energy. Needs exercise & mental stimulation to prevent destructive behaviour (like chewing on socks, shoes, plastic, etc). Reason for Rehoming: due to our personal circumstances we are returning to home country, and we thought UK is best place him to thrive. We raised him since young. He is very stubborn, and yet so lovely. We are just so heart broken. Preferred rehoming: - Families are preferred - with Children (5+ years) - own house with garden. - experience with beagles or similar high-energy breeds - have enough time and patience to spend with him
