Ralphie is a fun‑loving, affectionate 9‑month‑old cockapoo who thrives on attention and company.
Lately, though, he’s been showing signs of aggression, especially around resource guarding. With a young child in the house — and after an incident where he lashed out — I’m worried we can’t give Ralphie the structure, calm, and consistency he needs. My child is very energetic, and I don’t feel confident that we can keep everyone safe or meet Ralphie’s needs in this environment.
This hasn’t been an easy decision, and it’s not one I’ve made lightly. I no longer feel confident that we can keep everyone safe or give Ralphie the environment he needs to thrive.
I truly believe he would be better suited to a home where someone can dedicate consistent time to him, continue his training, and offer a calmer, adult‑only environment. My trust in his behaviour around children isn’t where it needs to be, and that’s not fair to him or to my family.
* please note he loves children, but has growled at my son, and for me the trust is broken.
Please don’t waste time. Ralphie deserves a kind, patient, and loving home where he is truly understood and cared for.
Ralphie is fully toilet trained. And knows how to sit. You can place a treat or food on the floor and he won’t eat it until told todo so.
