Description
We are very sadly looking to rehome our lovely cat Albie due to a change in circumstances and a mismatch with our current living situation.
Albie is a 4-year-old white and tabby boy with a big personality. He is incredibly friendly, very cuddly, extremely curious and very vocal - he loves chatting to people and being involved in whatever is going on around him. He enjoys lots of attention, is happy being picked up, and warms to new people quickly.
He is fully vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, healthy, and has no medical issues. He uses the litter tray reliably and is not destructive - he might try it on with your sofa but he prefers a good scratching post. He is a clever bloke and will work out how to open easier doors and cupboards, so a home that enjoys an intelligent, inquisitive cat would suit him well. He will also try to eat houseplants if given the chance, so this is something to be aware of.
Albie has mainly been an indoor cat but enjoys the outdoors and has some, limited outdoor experience. In our current second-floor flat there is a dominant local cat which has made him nervous about going out, so he is currently indoor-only, but in a safer area he would probably enjoy access to the outdoors.
He currently lives with a smaller, anxious, female runt. While they do generally get on, our flat is small and Albie gets bored and ends up bullying her, which causes her stress. We feel Albie would be much happier in a home where he has more space, stimulation, and can be the centre of attention. He would likely suit being a single cat, or having more space in a multi-cat household. He has previously been introduced to a boisterous Manchester Terrier and handled the interaction calmly, but we cannot guarantee that he would enjoy living with a dog full-time. A calm, cat-savvy dog might be possible with careful introductions, but a dog-free home would be the safest option.
This is a very difficult decision and we want to ensure Albie goes to a loving, permanent home where he can truly thrive.
A rehoming fee will apply to ensure a serious and responsible home.
We would like potential adopters to visit first to meet Albie, and we would really appreciate occasional updates after rehoming.
