Description
PARENT BIRDS
Please note the parent birds are not for sale.
These are the chicks of our pet birds outside, who are called Bubble and Pika. Bubble is a Pearl Pied female cockatiel and Pika is a Whiteface Pied male cockatiel. Bubble and Pika live in an outside aviary where we provide them with a nest box to rear their chicks safely.
THE CHICKS - ready to go to a new home!
ROSIE
Rosie is a confirmed female Whiteface Cinnamon Pearl Pied. She is slightly older than the other chicks and is quiet, reserved and loves human company. She knows how to step up onto hands and has recently begun to accept head scratches.
PETAL
Petal is a confirmed female Cinnamon Pearl Pied. She is extremely intelligent and is learning fast. She is learning how to step up onto hands and bonds well to humans. She enjoys being in the heat of the action and loves playing and eating with her flock (be it birds or humans). Like Rosie, she also likes having her head stroked.
- she gets along well with Daisy
DAISY
Daisy is a confirmed female Whiteface Cinnamon Pearl Pied. She, like Petal, is intelligent and curious and loved being in on everything. She is learning how to step up and will soon be loving cuddles.
- she gets along well with Petal
TOR
Tor is a Pearl Pied, we do not know his/her gender yet, but he/she's probably a boy (check back for updates). He/she is very adventurous and enjoys all the same things as the others. We hope Tor starts to singing soon.
BROOK
Brook is a Pearl Pied, we do not know his/her gender yet (check back for updates). He/she is very cuddly and clingy and prefers to be next to or on someone than in the action. We hope Brook starts to singing soon.
REQUIREMENTS FOR A NEW HOME
The birds must be housed with people they will get a lot of attention from. Growing up, we have always allowed them long durations of the day outside their cage where they can have time to interact, play and fly. We disapprove of clipping wings as they have always been able to fly around with full wings.
- We would be happy to discuss requirements and details and provide more photos to prospective buyers.
