Mendiko are delighted to offer some of our beautiful puppies to the right homes.
Mum is our Lulu, ilunabarra de torre de las sabinas at Mendiko, and sire is our Otso, Mendiko Otso bakartia. Both mum and dad hip scored GOOD OFA and elbows 0/0.
The Pyrenean mastiffs, are incredibly docile, intelligent dogs, and despite being livestock guardian dog are of very stable temperaments and make perfect family dogs. They are quite sedentary, so don’t require copious amounts of exercise, and with slow metabolisms don’t eat loads for their size (it is still relatively quite a lot) all our dogs and puppies are raw fed and we expect this to be continued, and are able to offer full support in making the best decisions for your puppy throughout its life. Between us we have multiple qualifications in canine health, nutrition and behaviour, studied bioveterinary science and taking further qualifications in canine radiography, and are able to give you complete backup and support.
Lulu is very playful and gentle, especially around children, and being a wonderful mum to her 2nd litter of puppies at 4 years old.
Otso is an absolutely stunning boy. He was recently taken to Europe and shown where he was awarded Best of Breed, 1 EXCELLENT. An amazing achievement being the first ever British bred dog to have ever been shown, and doing so at only 18 months old. He is extremely affectionate, and friendly, already over 80kg at 19 months old. The boys don’t stop filling out until around 4-5 years old.
They are generally a very healthy breed of dog especially for their size living on average 10-12 years.
All the pups are raised on our busy farm, and around our 6 children ranging from 2-15 years old, so are fairly bomb proof by the time they leave to their new homes
