GUARDIAN FAMILY OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for an exceptional dog crazy family to join us as a Guardian Family for one of our future breeding girls. The puppy will be placed with the guardian family *Free of Charge. *A deposit of £1000 will be returned to the Guardian family when the girl has her first litter.
· The puppy will remain in the legal ownership of Kingscotedoodles, whilst she is a Kingscotedoodle breeding dog. This typically will be between 1-3 litters depending on how she takes to motherhood.
Ownership will then be signed over to the family.
At Kingscotedoodles, we remain steadfast in our mission that we lovingly and ethically breed healthy, robust, excellent temperament puppies, that grow to become loving and lifelong companions that any family can be proud of.
To achieve this aim, we have poured our heart and soul into every aspect of our breeding practices: carrying out extensive health and temperament testing; continuously researching best practices on animal welfare, health, socialisation and enrichment experiences. Our dogs all live with us in our home as our cherished and much-loved family members and our older and retired dogs even come away with us on holiday; including over the past three years; Scotland, Wales, South of France and every other region of France in between, Italy, including Venice, Slovakia and Croatia.
We believe that the best socialised puppies, who make the best family dogs, come from Professional and qualified breeders like ourselves, where puppies are born and raised in the family home with a rigorous, research backed socialisation and enrichment programme and where no expense is spared.
Our puppies are born and raised in our home and attended to 24/7 from the moment they are born. We faithfully follow the extensive Puppy Culture Programme to give our puppies every advantage and added value in their future Life Chances.
Our older dogs: Molly, Bonnie, Myrtle and Nel are all now retired breeding girls, living their best lives in our home, with us. Due to mainly logistical reasons, Licensed Home Breeder like ourselves can accommodate only a small, limited number of dogs.
We therefore have 3 options:
1.
Rehome our retired girls-NEVER!
They are our much-loved fur babies who have produced gorgeous puppies that have given joy to many families over the past 10 years.
2.
Stop breeding and wind down www.Kingscotedoodles.com
3.
Find a guardian home for a Kingscote doodle puppy.
This will be a suitable family who will love and cherish the pup for the whole of its life; build a relationship of trust and embrace the values of ourselves as breeders.
Option 3 allows Kingscotedoodles (us) as the breeder to continue to provide healthy, loving pets and at the same time provide the dog with a stable, long term, happy home life.
The guardian homes would ideally be close to ourselves in Devon/the South West and be prepared for the puppy/dog to visit for little holidays several times a year to allow the puppy to continue the bond she formed with us and the rest of the pack, during her first crucial early weeks. This will also mean that there will be no stress when she returns to Kingscote for visits, health tests, matings and to give birth and raise her puppies.
Becoming a Guardian home is not something to be undertaken without due consideration, and not a decision we have personally taken lightly. We have exceptionally high standards of care for our breeding dogs and we will expect no less for a Kingscotedoodle breeding dog placed in a guardian home.
Guardian Home must be committed to:
· Regular updates/catch ups
· essential socialisation
· attending Puppy School
· feed a balanced raw food diet
· maintain a healthy body condition
· Ensure appropriate exercise
· professional grooming
· wear a GPS tracker whenever out
· prevent unintentional matings
· Petplan Insurance or similar
· Never to leave the puppy/dog home alone for more than 2 hours
· Crate training
· Provide suitable safe, fully fenced and gated garden space
We have prepared a comprehensive legal contract to ensure that there is clarity and protection for both parties and that the guardian family is fully aware of the conditions of the guardian home contract. We hope that this means we may build up a friendship, a trust in each other and a joint love for this delightful breed.
We will fully support and mentor guardian homes on all areas of puppy and dog development, training, exercise and feeding.
We will also welcome your involvement in the whole process, including visits and lots of cuddles when your girl has her puppies.
If you are interested in becoming a Guardian Family, please complete the application form on our website www.kingscotedoodles.com
making it clear that you wish to be considered as a guardian home and why you would be a suitable candidate as a guardian home.
