Description

Gorgeous litter of 7 Standard Long Haired Dachshunds delivered safely on the 2nd of June 2026. Both parents are strong, healthy, fully vaccinated and frequently health checked dogs. Both parents have loving, affectionate temperaments. Both parents are excellent examples of the breed and Dad has previously been shown. The mother (Peggy) is our loving family pet and is great with all kids including our 1 year old son. Pups will be appropriately socialised and will be cared for with love and attention within our family home. We have avaliable: 1 x Red Dapple Girl 1 x Black and Tan boy 1 x Red boy 3 x Red Dapple Boys Please note the colour of the pups will develop as they grow. All pups will be KC registered, vet checked, wormed and microchipped. By the end of July all pups will be weaned onto an appropriate puppy food and will come with 5 weeks insurance. Very few Standard Long Haired Dachshund litters become available in Scotland each year so if you are interested please get in touch, whilst they are still available! £500 deposit (non-refundable) taken to reserve. Pros

Extremely affectionate and loyal little dogs
Very intelligent Dachshunds learn quickly and know how to please
Fun-loving and playful by nature
Energetic and feisty Dachshunds like to be kept entertained

Cons

Not the best choice for first time owners because Dachshunds often have a mind of their own
Care must be taken with puppies because they must not be allowed to jump up or down from anywhere because it could damage their backs and joints
They are prone to putting on too much weight if not given enough daily exercise
The breed is known to suffer from quite a few health concerns so vet bills can be high and why pet insurance is so important for anyone owning a Dachshund
