Monty came into our care after spending 6 months alone in a house due to his previous owner going into care. He was only being visited and fed twice a week during this time. We were told that Monty had been a friendly cuddly cat, but when he came to us the trauma of his isolation had left him shut down and completely despondent. He hid away and barely responded to interaction.
We also discovered that he had a nasty ear infection that required antibiotics to treat. Over time Monty has come to trust that he is no longer alone and his depression has lifted.
In his foster home he has become a chatty affectionate cat who loves company and a lap to sit on. Instead of hiding away he's now loudly complaining at the foster room door if he can hear his foster humans but they aren't in his room! Monty is a gentle cat who took his ear treatment well, despite his foster humans having to administer medication 3 times a day.
Due to his traumatic history Monty is looking for a home that can provide him with stable and predictable company. He'd love a home where someone works from home at least part of the time and where his humans aren't often away for long stretches of time.
Monty has met the resident 2 year old human in his foster home and is happy to be out and about around her so we believe he could live with cat savvy children. He has also briefly met one of the resident cats and displayed no aggression so we believe he could live with a calm cat savvy cat with careful introductions. He has not been dog tested.

Monty has been neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated. He has tested negative for FIV and FeLV and has been treated for parasites. He comes with 5 weeks free insurance!
