Lovely African pygmy dormice, also known as miicro squirrels.
We have grey parents who are turning light brown with age, who have produced grey babies.
Our mature micro squirrels will let you hold them, take food from the hand, run to the front of the tank and jump into your hand when eager for first dibs on the food!!
They will need to live in a terrarium or tank as they will escape through the bars of any cage. I have included a photo of our set up to give you some ideas, but please do your research.
They will need to be fed on a variety of food including hamster mix and bird seed, but also fresh fruit, nuts, cheese, maple syrup and eggs.
The pygmy squirrels are very sociable and will need to be kept in pairs or trios at least.
