Description
We are looking to rehome our sweet boy to a very specific kind of home where he can truly thrive.
He is an incredibly affectionate, cuddly, and people-oriented cat who absolutely loves attention. He will happily curl up with you, follow you around, and respond when you call his name. He knows “sit” and “wait” commands, is litter trained, and is good on a harness, so he can safely enjoy time outdoors on a lead.
He’s not fussy with food and has a gentle, loving nature that makes him a wonderful companion.
That said, he does come with some important behavioural challenges, so we want to be completely honest to find him the right home:
He is extremely food-obsessed and will go to great lengths to access anything edible — including breaking into bags, bins, and surfaces. He is also very vocal and will loudly “announce” when he thinks food might be involved (especially around the kitchen!).
Because of his strong food drive, he will sometimes try to eat things that are not safe (such as plastic, wood, plants, or household items), so he requires a very vigilant environment where these risks are managed.
He is not suited to being an outdoor cat, as he lacks the awareness to keep himself safe. He must remain indoors or only go outside on a harness.
Ideal home:
• Someone who is home most of the time (works from home, retired, etc.)
• A calm environment with lots of attention to give
• A secure home where food and non-food items can be carefully managed
• A garden where he can enjoy supervised outdoor time on a harness
He is quite small, for his age (confirmed by the vet he's fine just dainty), but full of personality and love. In the right home, with patience and consistency, he will be an incredibly rewarding companion.
