We have hatched 9 very healthy welsh harlequin ducklings. We are keeping 5 so have 4 looking for a new home.
They are living in our home with us with our 2 children and one dog so are very well socialised and used to all different sounds.
The welsh harlequin is a beautiful friendly and breed, they are excellent foragers so don't require as much food as other breeds and are quieter than other breeds so make excellent back garden pets.
Ducks do enjoy a pond but only require enough water to be able to dip their head under to clear their nasel passage so a pond is not an essential requirement.
They are just over a week old and can go to their new homes now but if needed we are happy to keep hold of them until they are off heat and ready to live outside, which is around 5-6week.
