Meet Rosa — a beautiful, kind-eyed 5-year-old Shepherd–Hound- sighthound mix- a good ole crossbreed.
Rosa is a medium-large girl, but as gentle as they come. True to her Shepherd nature, she likes to take her time getting to know new people and building trust. But once you’ve earned her friendship, you gain a loyal, loving companion for life — and what a girl she is!
Rosa adores fuss and affection, and she’s happiest sharing a sofa with her favourite humans. She gives the best welcome cuddles!
She’s incredibly intelligent (sometimes a little too clever! 😂)
She learns quickly but also has an independent streak, so a home with routine and consistency would help her thrive.
She’s a real homebody who loves snoozing on the sofa, with short bursts of playful energy and zoomies. Rosa enjoys her walkies — one to two good walks a day and a garden or space to stretch her legs would be ideal.
Rosa needs a gentle owner who can give her the time and space she needs to settle, and slowly help her build confidence in her new home. She’s very trainable but also brings her clever street smarts along with her. The progress she has made already is outstanding- her foster mum says she has all the good traits of shepherd and a greyhound.
Rosa walks beautifully on a lead. She’s currently being crate-trained in foster. She mixes well with dogs that she meets and is becoming a regular at her local dog walking group.
Rosa can live with dog savvy children aged 14 plus
She may be able to live with a calm, tolerant male dog, or she’d be perfectly happy as an only dog in the home.
Rosa is a truly wonderful girl and a loyal companion. If you have a spare spot on your sofa — she just might be the perfect match for you.
