Description

Due to a change in circumstance its my regret that i must rehome my 1 year old husky x collie, his name is Chester and he's a very loving and energetic pup. His father is a purebred blue mearle collie and his mother is a husky x collie. He's fully vaccinated (will need his 1 year booster at the end of july) He's crate trained, toilet trained, has been raised around children, cats and other dogs, 90% of the time none of the above is an issue but I believe he'd be happiest as an only dog due to a fairly recent resource guarding issue with my older male dog. Unfortunatly this issue has manifested as Standoffish behaviour with my other dog, who (rightly so) believes he is in charge leading to alterations when one is getting attention, or has decided that a toy is 'theirs' or if they're tracking a piece of toast and have quietly claimed ownership. Other than the above, he's a beautiful and loving dog, he's playful, energetic and generally well behaved. He does like to occasionally jump up and get excited which we've been working on but it's an ongoing thing, this is generally worse with visitors and he's pretty good with members of our household. Ultimately, he'd be best placed with someone with a bit more time and space to give him than I have at my disposal, someone more skilled than myself might be able to train him out of the resource guarding but for now, I think an only dog household would suit him best. I'm asking £250 although I'm more interested in him going to a good home than the money so as such I'm open to sensible offers.
