Description

I am fostering M due to an urgent change in circumstances of her owner. A full discussion with prospective new owners will be had, however I won’t put personal details on here currently. M has pedigree KC registered parents (not KC registered herself), was fully health checked etc when purchased as a puppy in 2021. Sadly has been neglected and left for long periods with 3 other dogs for the last 2 years. Training is required for recall and stay. Will naturally walk to heel and not pull on lead. I canicross and have been encouraging her to pull in a harness- this is showing good potential. M is friendly with other dogs and sociable with humans. She is living and playing well when sharing space with my spaniel. I have been mindful of separate feeding and managing separate relaxation times during first 2 weeks. M travels well in car and sits appropriately in pubs/restaurants. M was showing signs of separation anxiety initially, this is being built upon and she’s now able to settle behind a baby gate and actively chooses to go off in her own area. I have restarted her vaccinations and treated for fleas and worms. M is not spayed and has had one litter. She did not take well to motherhood and I don’t feel she should be bred. I am willing to arrange a spay and care for her during recovery if required by new owners. I am looking for serious consideration from responsible owners who understand the time and financial commitment involved. Please respond with consideration for what you can offer M. I will need to have due diligence to check the home she is being given to and would expect you to understand these precautions. She’s a beautiful personality, is showing empathy and a desire to connect to her humans. She deserves a stable and understanding bond with a person or as part of a family. I was not in the position to be wanting a 2nd dog as I’m happy with managing the responsibility of my spaniel. It will be too much of a stretch financially and with work commitments for me to keep M. This is no reflection on M as it’s been lovely fun to step in and look after her temporarily rather than her going to a shelter. I can keep her until a suitable home is found. £75 is minimum on this site, I am not looking for money and this is negligible as priority is finding the best home for M.
