Welcome to my small pet boarding facility, this runs alongside Powys Small Pet Pampering which was established in 2020. I mostly board guinea pigs, but also take hamsters, fancy rats, mice, rabbits, etc. I am fully insured and based near Crossgates, Powys.
I offer boarding for small pets, mostly guinea pigs, but also hamsters, fancy rats, mice, etc. Rabbits will be considered as long as they are fully vaccinated with proof in the form of a vaccination card from a vet. They are housed in a secure and weatherproof wooden summerhouse in my garden and treated as if they were one of my own animals, with a minimum of twice daily checks, feeding and watering as well as regular cleaning out.
I am experienced in all aspects of small animal ownership, care and handling, having owned rabbits for over 30 years, guinea pigs for 20 years, as well as hamsters and fancy rats in the past. I am fully insured and offer a friendly and professional service, giving you peace of mind that your small pets are properly cared for while you relax on holiday.
I provide cages, unlimited hay, food and water bowls/bottles and fresh green food twice daily. You can either provide your own bedding and dry food or use mine (dust-extracted wood shavings and Twitch guinea pig nuggets/Gerty Guinea Pig mix/Burgess Excel rabbit pellets/Fancy Feed bunny nuggets/Twitch rabbit pellets). For smaller rodents you will need to provide your own cage and preferred food and bedding.
Prices vary, but start at £2.50 per night for a small rodent, £5 for a guinea pig and £8 for a rabbit.
All guinea pigs and rabbits staying for two nights or more will have a free claw cut if required, and I also offer a 10% discount off my usual prices if you want your guinea pig to be bathed or groomed while they are a resident here.
