Poppy and Storm, crossbreeds, are seeking permanent homes and are currently in foster care in the Peterborough area of the UK.
DOB: 23 March 2025
These siblings were relocated from Cyprus to the UK in September. After a family situation led to their return, they entered foster care. The foster mum has supported their adjustment and confidence. Storm regularly interacts with the resident dogs, while Sky, who is more reserved, has been gradually participating in play as her confidence improves. Ideally, they will be rehomed together; however, if this is not possible, each should be placed in a home that already has a friendly and calm dog.

Current Situation: Storm and Poppy are brother and sister currently in foster care for the past 4 weeks after needing emergency housing. They have adjusted well to their foster environment and have bonded nicely with the three resident dogs. Poppy has a more gentle demeanour. Poppy is still playful and energetic as a young dog, but shows more restraint than her brother. Poppy would thrive either as an only dog where in a home with an older, well-mannered dog who can provide her with confidence and security. She enjoys her quiet resident dogs in their foster home. ## Personalities: *POPPY:* Poppy is the calmer of the two and responds well to gentle guidance.
*STORM:* Storm is the more energetic and exuberant sibling! Full of life and enthusiasm, he loves to play and sometimes gets so excited that his "brakes don't work too well." He's learning about appropriate play boundaries from the older dogs in his foster home who have given him corrections when his play style gets too boisterous. Storm would benefit from a home with another playful dog who can be both a fun companion and help teach him proper dog manners and social cues. Both dogs enjoy their "mad moments" of playful zoomies and puppy exuberance, but they're equally fond of settling down for a good snuggle. They're affectionate and enjoy cuddles with humans and other dogs alike, showing their sweet, loving nature beneath the playful exterior. ## Walking Behaviour: *
POPPY:* Poppy is a natural walker who tends to stay close to heel without much training needed. She can be somewhat timid when approached by unfamiliar dogs when walking one-on-one. However, she gains significant confidence when walking as part of a pack with other dogs. This suggests she takes comfort and security from canine companions and would benefit from having a confident doggy friend in her new home. Both Storm and Poppy are house-trained, which is impressive for dogs their age! They understand the basics of indoor manners and know to do their business outside.
STORM:* True to his more outgoing personality, Storm is very social on walks and would like to approach and greet every dog he sees given the chance! This friendly, enthusiastic greeting style is typical of his age and exuberant personality. He's still learning leash manners and appropriate greetings, so continued training in this area would be beneficial. His social nature suggests he'd enjoy having doggy friends or opportunities to socialize with other dogs.
Storm and Poppy are currently anxious during car rides, which manifests as excessive drooling. Their foster family is actively working on helping them become more comfortable with car travel. With patience and positive associations, this is expected to improve over time. Potential adopters should be prepared to continue this training with short, positive car experiences to build their confidence.
