Now in UK foster ready to find her forever home!! 🥰
This beautiful girl is approximately 3 years old.
She was found in the street but had no microchip, so was taken to a local municipality pound where she stayed for over 3 months.
Luckily, one of our STAR guardians visiting the pound saw her - it was obvious that poor Jessica needed to be found a foster home urgently; a tiny cage was no place for her, she was stressed and all alone.
Jessica was lucky enough to be placed with a kind Cyprus family in foster where she showed just a wonderful kind soul she has; she is playful, young at heart but has an old soul and she interacts with humans around her with immense compassion. It was also clear Jessica has lived in a home before and is housetrained and understands toys and love.
Jessica has always shared her space with other dogs both male and female with no issues at all. Both on the shelter and in foster homes. She loves human company and is always the first to great visitors. She has shown such warmth constantly, considering what she has been through (who knows what that was!)
Jessica is now living in a wonderful foster home in the UK and has settled well, she lives with a younger male GSD and absolutely LOVES her squeaky toys! ❤️
She has shown some excited/prey drive towards the resident cats, so we would advise a no cat household.
Jessica can live with another dog, ideally of similar size and male as she likes to play quite boisterously at times and a smaller or old dog may find this a bit much.
Jessica LOVES to be outside so a good sized garden is essential so she can play, patrol and dig - she does like to dig and get a bit mucky 😂
At approximately 30kg, Jessica will need an experienced home without younger children.
She does walk on a lead but can pull, (as most strays or abandoned and unloved dogs will), but her foster home is working on this with her well - Jessica will need some ongoing support/ training about this, and positively reinforced consistently in her new home. Like almost all German shepherd types, she desperately wants to please and be praised. There is no doubt she will make a wonderful and loving companion with the right home, patience, some training snd above all LOVE ❤️
