🐾 Meet Teddi, a 1-year-old perfect medium-sized boy, with kind eyes and a very gentle nature. Teddi arrived in the UK just before ****************** to a foster-to-adopt home, full of quiet hope. Sadly, despite everyone’s best intentions, the family has realised that they are not the right match for such a sensitive soul, and Teddi is now looking for a new chance.
This is not because Teddi has done anything wrong. Quite the opposite — he is calm, polite, and easy to live with. What he needs is time, patience, and emotional safety.

💔 Background
Teddi was found as a puppy left near rubbish bins — alone, confused, and discarded. Despite this, he never lost his softness. He grew up in foster care, surrounded by familiar faces and canine friends, forming bonds that mattered deeply to him.
When he moved to the UK and then into a new home, everything changed at once — new country, new smells, new people, and the loss of those familiar connections. For a sensitive dog like Teddi, this has been a lot to process.
🐾 More About Teddi
Teddi’s current carers describe him as well-behaved, clean in the house, and sleeping well through the night. He isn’t a fussy eater and is calm when visitors come into the home. He gets along well with their dog and causes no disruption.
At the moment, Teddi is very quiet.. He does not seek cuddles or lean into affection, not because he doesn’t care, but because he is grieving the loss of his familiar world. This can happen with deeply sensitive dogs, and it is a recognised adjustment phase. With patience and emotional safety, dogs like Teddi slowly begin to open up again, in their own time and on their own terms.
According to the well-known 3-3-3 adjustment rule, dogs need at least 3 weeks before they even begin to feel that a new place might be home. Teddi simply hasn’t been given that time yet.
🏡 Ideal Family
Teddi needs a calm, emotionally aware home — ideally with people who understand that bonding doesn’t always happen instantly. He would do well with someone who is around a lot, who won’t rush him, and who will allow trust to grow naturally. Another calm, friendly dog in the home would be a lovely support for him.
This is not a dog for pressure, expectations, or “instant affection.” Teddi needs to be allowed to come out of his shell at his own pace.
💞 Teddi is not difficult. He is simply a gentle, sensitive soul who feels deeply and needs time to feel safe again. With patience, kindness, and understanding, he will rediscover joy — and when he does, the bond he forms will be quiet, loyal, and incredibly special.
🩺 Health Information
Teddi is fully healthy, neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.
All dogs are C.Brucella tested before travel (licensed laboratory certificate provided).
