Description
We’re looking for a loving home for Nina, our affectionate 4-year-old Jack Russell-Chihuahua mix. This decision hasn’t come easy, but as our family prepares to move overseas, we need to find Nina a new family who can give her the love and attention she deserves.
Nina has spent her life as a much-loved pet in our home, first in London and now in Bishop’s Stortford. She’s a calm and loving companion who enjoys warm laps, relaxing in the sunshine, and gentle cuddles. She’s especially good with adults and older children. Around our toddler, Nina chooses to keep a bit of distance—she’ll stay in the room to keep an eye on what’s going on but will retreat if things get too loud or if our little one gets too close.
Nina gets along well with smaller dogs, especially females, but can become anxious around larger male dogs. She responds well to basic commands like “sit,” “wait,” and “come.” She’s spayed, in great health, and is fed a grain-free diet twice a day—her favourite treats are braided lamb sticks!
Both of us work from home, so Nina is used to having people around during the day. That said, she’s also very good at managing on her own and settles well if left alone for a few hours.
When new people arrive, Nina will bark to let us know, but once she’s had a chance to say hello, she quickly settles down. While she used to walk off-lead and play regularly with other dogs in the park when we lived in London, she hasn’t had as many opportunities to socialise with other dogs in the past couple of years. With some gentle reintroduction and training, we’re confident she could get back into that routine.
Nina would thrive in a calm, loving home where she can feel secure and be part of the family. If you think you might be the right match for her, we’d love to hear from you.
