Description

Solas is a Polish import, ¾ show and ¼ working lines, combining lovely balanced conformation with genuine working ability. He is a handsome dark golden with a muscular physique, thick coat, sound balanced movement and a kind, gentle expression. Approx. 31kg. Solas has enjoyed success in the show ring, receiving some lovely judge critiques, and has also competed in the BASC Working Gundog class at Crufts. In the field, Solas is progressing well. He has achieved three 3rd-place placings in puppy working tests (AV & Golden Retriever) and has now begun competing in Novice tests. He is entering his second picking-up season, successfully retrieving partridge, pheasant and duck, whilst remaining steady and quiet. He also enjoys mantrailing as a fun sport. Above all, Solas has a wonderful, loving and exceptionally adaptable temperament. He lives happily alongside other entire males and regularly travels around mainland Europe, taking trains, mountain gondolas, new environments, people, dogs and other animals completely in his stride.
