Description
It’s with the heaviest of hearts we are looking for the very best home for our family Dachshund Bob.
Bob was born on the 28th of October 2025 (5 months, 14 days old) he’s a Silver Dapple KC registered standard dachshund. I met both parents. His mum is Chocolate and his dad is Silver Dapple. He was born with a small hernia that has been reducing in size recently. The vet has checked and said it’s very common and should go away as he grows but if not would put a stitch in along with castration if chosen when old enough.
Bob is the happiest of characters, great with both kids and other dogs as he’s been brought up with our 3 children (our youngest being 7) and our two other dachshunds.
Bob currently sleeps in a crate with our other 2 Dachshunds no problem and they are all happy to eat together and share a food bowl without any fuss.
Our reason for rehoming Bob is honestly no fault of his which makes this decision really hard but we want what’s best for him, we just naively underestimated the extra responsibility on top of our already busy life’s.
We really want him to go to the best home, one with nothing but love and time for him and we would love to keep in touch!
Bob has never slept alone or been without another dog so although his new home already having a dog isn’t essential it may help him settle in.

Cons
Not the best choice for first time owners because Dachshunds often have a mind of their own
Care must be taken with puppies because they must not be allowed to jump up or down from anywhere because it could damage their backs and joints
They are prone to putting on too much weight if not given enough daily exercise
