This is little Lumos who is a 11 week old jack x dachshund (mother was a red and white jack russell and dad a chocolate dapple dachshund)
we got Lumos as company for our other dachshund Nox but despite our best efforts Nox has not taken to Lumos at all and is bullying him non stop, his barking in his face or at him with no let up! chasing and pinning him, not allowing him to explore or sit with anyone without being in his face unless Nox is asleep himself , it’s just not fair on Lumos . The only time Lumos stands up for himself is when Nox tries to take his food but even then it’s just a little yap and we take Nox away.
Lumos is a very gentle soul with lots of love to give and has settled with us humans, he loves my 6 children who range from 20 months to 17 years old and is calm around my cat .
he’s doing great with potty training outside with just the odd accident indoors.
He is due to see our vet on tuesday afternoon to be microchipped as breeder hadn’t done this as stated on their ad and will also start his vaccinations.
if you would rather do the vaccinations with your vet then am happy just to microchip and health check on tuesday.
Lumos currently sleeps in our bed and will stay asleep all night. we have a collar, lead and his favourite elephant toy that he will be taking with him and we will provide some food his on ( AVA small breed puppy dry food) so you can either transition him to something else or keep him on it.
This is a hard decision for us as we got him with the view of giving him a home for life . we want him to be happy and thrive as when Nox isn’t at him he truly is a amazing boy
