Description

Please read full description before contacting. With very heavy heart I’m looking to rehome our beloved family dog Boogie. Boogie is 4 years old male Welsh Sheepdog, bought from the breeder as a 13 week old puppy. He is a reactive dog - dog aggressive and terrified of strangers. We’ve visited many behaviourists and tried a lot of different methods but nothing is working in long term. I honestly think we’re just a wrong match for him, he needs someone who knows the breed, has a lot of time and patience to train him and give him all the attention he needs. He is very loveable, snuggly and affectionate, and with us having two primary school children, he is constantly competing for attention. He is a very strong dog, way too strong for me, my partner is working a lot so can’t possibly walk him - I never managed to teach him walking properly on the lead, he is very anxious outside so most of his life he is spending indoors and in the garden what is completely inappropriate for the dog of his breed and is very unfair on him, so I wish he could find someone who would have the strength and patience to teach and exercise him. Apart from his problems he is really good boy. He grew up with cats and a rabbit, he is very gentle with them and is very friendly. He must be an only dog in the house. I wouldn’t recommend him to a family with small children because of his size. He is house trained, muzzled trained, he hates kennel cages but we have a big dog pen for him which he is comfortable in. He doesn’t have any medical problems. I’m willing to give him away for free to the right person. Please note that because he is scared of strangers, I would prefer to do a few meet-and-greets to see if he would happy with you. If you require any more information, please feel free to text me on WhatsApp, my phone number is 07546813591.
