Howie was found abandoned on the street with Fly. Both were taken to the pound, where they waited an entire year for someone to collect them. Thankfully, one of the wonderful shelters we work stepped in to help them, giving them a nicer environment than the pound and a better chance of finding a home.
Howie is a beautiful young Basset Fauve de Bretagne mix, small to medium in size with a broad body and short legs. He’s currently a bit overweight, but he’s on a healthy diet and steadily losing weight.
Howie is friendly, affectionate, and well-balanced, Howie is great with people, including children. He enjoys both relaxed downtime and having a good run around the shelter, showing a lovely mix of calmness and enthusiasm. He also gets along well with other dogs and has made friends with lots of the other dogs at the shelter. Howie hasn’t been tested with cats yet, but this can be arranged if needed.
