💔 Rescue Story
Mary lost her home in September when her family had to return abroad and could not take her due to rental restrictions. She had been dearly loved, and it was a painful surrender for everyone involved.
Rehomed shortly after, we hoped this would be Mary’s happy ending. But sadly, she wasn’t the right match for the new home. They tried so hard to provide everything she needs. But unfortunately had a small incident when Mary bit an adult friend in cafe when she was sat under table and he wanted to offer her treat and she snapped at him😞 Bite was not bad but unfortunately having young kids family can't risk. We still don't really understand what provoked her as she never showed any reactivity, she always been very submissive and loving 💞🐾
Mary urgently needs a place where she can finally exhale, feel safe, and begin to flourish.

Her family describes her with warmth and honesty:
“Mary has been wonderful with us. She bonded quickly and has so much love to give. She is well housetrained, never destructive, and prefers quiet affection over toys. She loves sniffy freedom in the garden and wants to be close to her people at all times.
She can sleep downstairs alone overnight, and giving her a stuffed kong helped her settle when left for short periods. She enjoys training sessions — she knows sit, down and shake paw — though ‘stay’ is a challenge because she’s such a velcro dog.
With our cats she has been fine, only barking when she gets surprised.
Mary is, however, a very sensitive dog. For the first month she struggled to step off our front drive. Roads, cars and busy places overwhelm her, though she has made good progress. She is also wary of new people and visitors — she tolerates them, but when meets barking and growling are common.
Although she can calmly sit under the table in a coffee shop or pub once settled, but she needs gentle introductions and guidance.
She would thrive with someone patient, someone who works from home, in a quiet environment without too many visitors — a person who can move at her pace and help her grow in confidence.”

Mary needs a peaceful, quiet home far from busy roads, with a secure garden where she can sniff, explore. She would be happiest with someone who is home most of the day — a person with a calm lifestyle who understands sensitive dogs and respects slow introductions.
She can live with gentle children, friendly dogs, and cats, but the home environment must be steady, predictable and kind. Visitors should be few, especially at the beginning, and her new family must be willing to support her confidence-building with patience and positive reassurance. Someone who works from home would be ideal, as she isn’t demanding attention and seemed to enjoy sitting near her person when they work.
