Description
We are unfortunately having to seek a new home for our gorgeous Kelpie, Kal.
He is a fab dog in the house, however is not for an inexperienced owner or a first dog.
He gets along well with our female border collie and our 3 month old baby.
However.
Kal will need either a breed experienced owner or an owner who has dealt with reactivity in dogs before. he will not go willy nilly to just anyone.
Kal is a reactive dog, since being rushed on a walk by another dog he has been reactive since (happy to go into detail with right person)
While he does get along with our dogs and other dogs if he has a very slow introduction with, he would be best suited to an active home with no other dogs and either no children or older children.
He’s not the type of dog to be happy with a quick walk around the block, he needs a good routine and an active lifestyle.
He barks and lunges on a walk around other dogs and he’s a strong dog. Therefore while his recall is fab and he honestly walks better off lead, we cannot let him off lead unless in an enclosed area.
Kal is very bouncy, loves his toys and balls, but can and will settle down for a cuddle.
All in all said, Kal is a lovely dog with lots to give for the right person and right training, however we weren’t planning on having a reactive dog with such a young baby in the house and therefore have to put that first, it’s unfair on Kal to stay with us when we can’t give him exactly what he needs at this moment in time.
Kal will only go to the best of homes, price tag only to prove new owner is capable and able to afford Kals needs as he will need professional training.
Will come with leads, toys and treats and blankets.
Kal is fully crate trained and will need a crate, he can be left along for a good few hours of the day as long as he is put away as he can be destructive if left out.
He is neutered and microchipped, vaccinations due May.
