We have had quail chicks hatch out on July 11th & 12th.
We have had hatch
Chinese Painted Buttons
Japanese Cortunix
Jumbo Cortunix
They are now ready to go to their new homes but they are unsexed till they are 3-5wks old.
They will need to live under heat till they are 3wks old then live at room temperature till they are 6wks old.
They are eating chick crumb which they will need till they are 8wks old then they will eat mixed corn and layers pellets from 8wks old.
Quails are flock living birds so they need to live in groups of 6 or more especially in the first few wks as they need company of their own kind as they huddle together to keep warm, eat together & sleep together if they don’t have the company then they will cry out/chirp loudly for friends & the stress & being lonely will cause them to die.
Chicks are £25 for 6 chicks / £5 each for each extra chick.
