LOKI is being surrendered to us - following a change of circumstances in his family…
He is a medium size Border Collie boy.
He was fully vaccinated, but he wasn’t neutered - so this will be the obligation of the adopting family ; thus the adoption fee is lower than usual.
Smart and well behaved, he is friendly with everybody – people and other dogs.
LOKI is an active and happy dog - a proper Collie ! Most of all - he loves human affection ! Due to his size and active temperament, we would prefer an adult only Home for him, with no cats.
Here are some words from the owner :
“I am reaching out to ask for your help with my dog, Loki. He is a Border Collie, 2 years and about 5 months old (born in May). I love him very much, but due to my health I am no longer able to give him the exercise and care he truly needs. I wanted to share some details about him and my situation, and I can also send photos so you can see him better.
Because I cannot handle him properly, Loki now lives mainly in the garage with access to a secure dog pen. He does get along with my other dog Wanda, but as he is not neutered, he often tries to mount her even when she is not in heat, so I have to keep them separated most of the time. Loki is used to cats, but he will chase them unless they tell him “no.” For this reason, I don’t allow Loki in the main house often.
Another challenge is my brother’s mental illness. …
He needs a family or person who can give him the right exercise and mental stimulation.
To help manage him, I discovered by accident that Loki is frightened of the mini vacuum cleaner. I have used this carefully as a training tool. Without turning it on, I point it as a signal, and if he enters one of his rare biting moods, briefly switching it on is the only safe way I’ve found to break his focus and guide him calmly back into the garage. The moment he backs down, the noise stops and I use the pointer only. I know this might sound harsh, but it is safer than trying to pull him away physically.
Loki is very affectionate and playful. He loves fetch, knows some basic tricks such as “paw,” and has good feeding-time manners - he always goes to his spot, sits, and gives his paw before eating. He also has a lot of energy and loves to jump, often leaping onto the garage workbench about 4–5 feet high.
He did lose weight for a while, but after switching his food on the advice of a vet nurse, he is now on Butternut Box dog food (https://butternutbox.com) and thriving. His weight is back to healthy, and his coat — which had been thinning from stress and fleas — is regrowing well.

This is a very difficult decision for me, but my priority is making sure Loki has the happiest, healthiest future possible with an experienced handler who can give him the exercise, play, and stability he needs.

We do NOT supply dogs to non-genuine Dog-Loving people. There are all kind out there... can’t be too careful !
You must have your own garden and no children under 10 years old to adopt a dog from our rescue.
We do not supply work, assistance or service dogs, regardless of what noble/moral it would be !
We do not encourage breeding and we are actively involved in actions of neutering stray dogs.
Should you adopt him, LOKI will reside as a PET in your Home and will be well looked-after and loved !
You will also agree to keep in touch with us - so we can help with any issues.
Our preferred method of contact is over the phone or WhatsApp - as we work during the day, with limited access to emails ; it is also more expedient - we can exchange most information in one go.
We are a 100% genuine and transparent Rescue and are doing substantial efforts to save these lives. We reserve the right to ask any / different price / donation for our rescue dogs - depending on circumstances. In most cases, we are not covering the costs !
We keep in touch with all adopters - more than 500 families, so far. On request, we can obtain & provide good references from any of them.
We receive a high number of pointless messages or calls and we do not afford wasting time…
Therefore, Please, Please - NO TIMEWASTERS !
