Sully is a loving, affectionate Cockapoo (F2) who is looking for a new home through no fault of his day-to-day personality. He is a real people dog who loves attention, cuddles and being close to his person. He will happily follow you around the house, curl up beside you and would probably consider himself a lap dog if given the chance! He is an energetic, intelligent dog who loves his walks and being involved in life. He currently lives in a family home with children and another dog and, most of the time, is an incredibly loving and funny member of our family. Having thought very carefully about what would suit Sully best, I believe he needs to be the only dog in his new home, with someone who can give him plenty of attention, exercise and consistency. Ideally, I would love to find someone with previous experience of Cockapoos who understands some of the breed's more eccentric quirks. This is an incredibly difficult decision for us and absolutely not a case of wanting to simply get rid of him. Finding the right home is much more important to me than finding one quickly. I will be completely open with anyone genuinely interested about why we have made the decision to rehome Sully, including his behavioural history and the work we have done with him. I would be very happy to have a proper conversation about him, answer any questions and arrange for suitable potential owners to meet him before any decision is made. I think Sully would be happiest in a quieter, less busy household than our own, ideally with an older couple or someone whose home life is relatively calm and settled. He absolutely loves human company and affection, so I think he would thrive somewhere he can be a real companion and get plenty of one-to-one attention. More than anything, we're looking for someone experienced, patient and willing to understand Sully as an individual and give him the right home for the long term.
