Kobe is a 4 year old rottweiler. A super loyal boy. We are having to ask to rehome him due to him not taking our pregnancy very well. He has created a negative association with me, as his secondary owner, since being pregnant. We had an emergency plumber come in the middle of the night following a leak, which Kobe has associated the stress to me, as his dad was downstairs with the noises he feared (will have assumed he was in danger). He will snarl, lunge and scratch me when I am near. He’s never shown aggressive behaviour before. He is not neutered but if this is required for someone to rehome him we will sort this before he goes. We have tried working on this but with being pregnant, the association hasn’t been dropped and it is not safe for me in the house so I am staying at friends and family’s until he is rehomed. We also do not want to try and work on this behaviour for him to do something similar to our child in years to come.
We don’t want to have to rehome him as he’s my partners best friend. Although his loyalty to him has now created a fear of me and our unborn child.
We’re looking for a couple without children to take him in and give him more than what we can. Or any centres that would be willing to take him on.
We are not asking for money yet a minimum price must be set.
He is health checked and up to date. He is usually such a loving and sweet boy, and still is to our friends, family, and my partner, in the 3 weeks I have not been home.
