Description

This is our beautiful Reggie, he is a very anxious and sensitive boy, he doesn’t take well to new people or other dogs, he isn’t aggressive he just barks out of anxiety, once he is left alone he will approach you and when he loves you, he loves you. He loves my 2 year old grandson. He is very protective of me and is very jealous when anyone else is around me, again no aggression, just panting, whining and barking which we don’t know how to stop. We’ve tried everything, trainers, lick mats, various different foods but nothing works. In the evening he paces the lounge, barking at us and we just don’t know why, he pants like he is always stressed, He is in perfect health and been vet checked several times and up to date with all his vaccinations. He isn’t neutered as the vets said this could make the situation worse. We are beginning to think he needs a high level on mental stimulation which he just isn’t getting from us, more of the outdoor, free life, all I want is for him to be happy. He loves treats and playing fetch, he knows commands but pulls on the lead and isn’t let off around other dogs as I am unsure what he will do. He loves a cuddle and is a big beautiful soft boy; he learns quickly but needs someone who understands the breed, his needs and can help him become a happy confident boy. He will not just go to anyone I am in touch with lab rescue who are also trying to help. When you meet Reg he won’t come bounding over he will bark at you and be very cautious. For someone who can train and knows this breed and has the outdoor space he needs he will make a fantastic companions ( as long as you like snuggles ) Please ensure you have read his needs carefully before getting in touch, thank you x
